strange sensations

Posted by Angela2 on June 17, 2008, at 18:41:42

Today I went for a walk with my buddy and felt off balance and spacey. It was weird but its happened before. Also I went to the store and while waiting in line, felt like I was gonna melt into the floor. I just felt really aware of my legs and feet. It was weird and also has happened before.

I don't know what it is but my hunch is that it's because of my meds. I take abilify, zyprexa, and lexapro and also ativan.

Does this happen to anyone else? or does anyone know what this is?

Off balance and spacey are quite familiar.
My guess is that this is one of the consequences of drug use of any sort.

I doubt that you are likely to get much help with it.
Recently I was describing to my doctor how I just didn't feel right and he got really annoyed, perhaps because he couldn't help me.

Before I have had my 2.5mg Valium (which I do twice a day) I just don't feel right. Maybe I feel like hiding?
It sucks, but what can you do, apart from looking after yourself as well as you can?

I think it can be a symptom of anxiety. Having body parts seem larger or smaller can definitely be a symptom of anxiety.

I've had a few interesting neurological experiences while discontinuing klonopin or anticonvulsants.

Need any more be said?
There's your explanation.

I was taking a lot of Valium a long time ago and I was so scared in stores, it was ridiculous. And standing in line makes it worse. I was especially afraid of meeting anyone. Rooted to the spot with horror afraid. Clearly an indication for more taking more Valium before going to the shop. So that's where I ended up and it took me a long time to even partly dig my way out. This may or may not have anything to do with you. Hope it is useful.
