I know Larry Hoover deals with chronic pain.

I also deal with continual pain although mine is not exactly "acute." I have Epstein Barr and fibromyalgia; my pain feels more like "achiness" and stiffness. Kind of "flulike."

Either way, it's chronic for me and a big pain in the butt.

When it rains or gets really cold, I feel SOO bad (which isn't good since I live near Seattle).

What kind of pain do you have?

I have joint pain and back/hip pain. My one doc suggested fibromyalgia. I was diagnosed with CVID and chronic fatigue syndrome which causes some of the pain. The rest my immuno doc believes has an autoimmune/infectious background too it because I have had some symtoms of autoimmune probs. High inflammation rates, borderline rheumatological tests in the past. I get severe pain at times and am on duragesic (fentanyl patches). It is just good to meet someone else who goes through pain at all cuz sometimes I feel alone in this. I am only 29. This has not helped my depression or anxiety one bit, just in reference to your other post. It makes it much much worse. Sometimes I am just like too uncomfortable if that makes any sense. I cannot stand long, or hardly walk long. My arms are getting better with IVIG treatment though, it seems to have cleared up some of the stiffness and pain I have. Perhaps you should see if an immuno doc could help you. HUGS

Thanks for sharing!!
Yeah, it is nice to know you aren't alone; I guess misery does love company. ROFL

I think my depression tends to either stem from discouragement of being sick and/or the anxiety that won't go away. The days that I feel physically well, I seem to feel okay mentally.

I haven't seen an immunologist. I've seen every other "ologist" out there. ROFL

I think this is pretty much fibromyalgia; I just didn't realize it could make you feel so sick and crappy but after reading message boards and such, I was surprised at how bad people get with this- some are even totally bedridden.

I am almost 28 years old so I know what it's like to be "young" and feel old. My grandpa is 82 and is healthier than I am!!!

I don't drink (well other than Nyquil, ROFL), do drugs, smoke, I eat healthy, I exercise, I take vitamins..etc,, I do all the "right" things and I am sick ALL the time.

It's just discouraging.

I have two kid's to take care of; my oldest is autistic which requires a lot of my time and energy.

We just planted a church in September and I feel like I am responsible for those 200 people as well.

It's just a lot on my plate to feel so crummy.

Maybe we can email and encourage each other?

I am flying to Kansas tomorrow morning and won't be back until Saturday so if you don't hear from me, that's why.
