How much tylenol can I take before my liver explodes or my kidney's shut down?

1000mg every four to six hours. No more than 4000mg per 24 hours.

Tylenol has been a lot in the news lately, if you google around. Apparently, some people can develop liver problems even if they take it exactly as indicated.
