Ear Ringing

Posted by Berberis on February 6, 2006, at 13:23:06

I'm interested in knowing how common ear ringing (tinnitus) is among Babblers here on psychtropic meds. Mine is very bothersome on Wellbutrin and Cymbalta. It first started two years ago on Effexor.

If you have ear ringing, what do you do to cope with it?

I have ear ringing on Cymbalta. I have had zero success in dealing with this problem, and no help from my
pdoc
dentist
gp
in how to deal with it. My gp told me to "stop worrying about it". <Snort> I guess he is the reason I went to a pdoc in the first place.

Xanax helped with suppressing it, but that's a poor reason to take it. Now that I am weaned off of xanax the ringing and wooshing are bigger and better than ever. Argh. Sometimes relaxation meditation helps, if I fall asleep during it.
