Has anyone tried this site for help with dieting? Membership isn't very expensive and it gets good reviews in comparison to other similar sites.
After years of drinking, sleeping too much, and overeating, I need to lose about 30 pounds (I should be about 175lbs) Being socially isolated I don't have much of a support group so I thought this online "clinic" might help.
I'm too embarrassed, shy, and neurotic to join a yoga class, weight-watchers club, or any sort of self-help workshop.

hiya. i haven't heard of that site...
i don't want to join the gym for all the reasons you mentioned.
something i have been considering, though, is getting yoga or pilates or something non-impact (old injuries) on dvd. that way you can do it in the privacy of your own home. might be something to think about? i used to really love walking. can't do much of that any more though :-(
if you join up let me know how it goes :-)
This is the end of the thread.
