Pudendal nerve entrapment/compression

Posted by kerria on October 16, 2005, at 14:39:34

This past week i finally received the correct diagnosis for the horrible constant pain that i've had- it's pudendal nerve neuralgia probably from pudendal nerve entrapment- that's what the specialist in pelvic pain told me. i was so happy to finally have a dx but after looking at the info about it and reading what people have been through with it-it's way worse than i thought.

From what i've found there isn't any cures at all, surgery only helps sometimes and makes the pain worse for some people. It's something that people are suffering for 24/7 for years.

So discouraged now because the pain is so bad despite all the pain meds. It hurts to think about it staying like this. The constant pain is in a place that's so triggering and i'm a p.a. and s.a. survivor with DID- it's so hard to stay in the present. Some of my parts- especially younger parts that can't handle this at all don't know why there is pain and think it's a.
It's too hard to think about having to constantly manage to live in this pain.

Please if you have pudendal nerve problems write how it is for you. Is there any treatment that helps. Did you have surgery? How was it afterwards?

Thank you,
kerria
