Hep and brain damage

Posted by AMD on September 12, 2005, at 11:01:55

Folks,

I've been feeling under the weather the past few days, and along with this slightly "mixed up" mentally ... just having a hard time concentrating. So I'm convinced I have picked up hepatitis from prior insufflation of cocaine. Is this something to worry about? Could Hep-induced brain damage happen this soon. (A liver panel a couple months ago came back normal.) Is excessive sleepiness a symptom of this?

I'm freaking out here.

On another note, I've been clean for almost a month now. :-)

Thanks. One day at a time. Mind is clearing up a bit, too, I can tell. A bit apathetic. Might be related to the high dose of Celexa (80 mg). Doesn't Celexa inhibit dopamine release slightly, and hinder concentration?

I don't know about Celexa. I thought it was the sister to Lexapro and was an SSRI.

Not sure.. but glad you are starting to feel better.

Keep pressin' on!
