I got sick about 3 weeks back with fever, sore throat that then turned into thrush.
Ever since, I just haven't felt much better. I went back in two days ago because my fever was back (100), and when I went in, my doctor found a "goiter" on my thyroid.
I am so confused. They ran all the blood work back in April and said my thyroid is fine. Now they think there's a problem and find a growth.
They took blood work and had me take a urine test. I showed a high white count in my urine but am still waiting on the blood work.
Could a virus cause a goiter? I keep losing my voice too (and having bad headaches).
Any thoughts?
Am I just a freak of nature? ROFL

Spriggy, A goiter is an enlarged thyroid gland. It's cause is too little iodine i believe. If you have one you will take thyroid medication like me. Although I haven't got a goiter my thyroid is kaput so i take synthroid each day. No you're not a freak of nature. But it must be treated . Fondly, phillipa
