I just read that coffee is bad for you now....it says if you drink more than 3 cups a day, your at a higher risk for heart disease. So...I do drink an average of 3 cups or so daily. What else can i do to not be sleepy? I wake up groggy because of the lamictal and trileptal i take at night and then, get sleepy during the day as well.
Any suggestions???
Thanks
S

I drink a lot of green tea- it's good for you and speeds up the metabolism.
I drink about two cups per day. Instead of sugar, I add a teaspoon of honey. So maybe drink one cup of coffee, and a few cups of tea?

I like getting my caffeine from guarana. The effect is much smoother and longer-lasting. No "crash", etc.

How about some chocolate? It has properties that speed up the metabolism. Fondly, Phillipa

oops, I think I'm on an energy binge. Or maybe the prozac is working...my pdoc worries that I'll get on the high side of my bi-polar II...whatever that diagnosis really means. Because I like being hyper. I hate depression. So just because I'm being self-indulgent, I say phooey, just drink stronger coffee. Studies. Man, "study" is just a new age five letter dirty word. I personally love a diet pepsi/nescafe shake...it's like a chemistry experiment gone wrong. And I wonder why I'm cockeyed. cockeyed. p.s. I find that swimming in cold salt water gives me energy. Sure does wake me up.

> sI'm sure you have heard of Red Bull. It's sold everwhere at every convience store where I live. I was against it for a long time because of the commercial hype. But if you're will to pay the price it's a good short term energy booster. It's a cup of coffee plus a good dose of taurine and other vitamins.
