I took some for my sprained ankle. I decided to take Tylenol 3 instead of Advil because I was curious about the "wierd feeling" my Mom experienced while on them. Sometimes I take one just to feel drowsy. Will I become addicted? Is it ok to abuse? I'm not abusing them so long as my ankle still hurts right?

It is probably not a good idea to take any medicince that wasn't prescribed to you. Barring that, its probably not a good idea to take a medicince for a indication it wasn't intended for.
Just be honest with yourself. YOu can quite easily built up a tollerance for codiene and other opiates.

I have an old bottle of Tylenol 3's that was prescribed for me a long while back and my dh takes on when he gets a migraine (he gets about 2 per year).
I suppose it's technically not legal but I personally think it's a little ridiculous. Tylenol 3's are pretty weak. I don't even feel a thing when I take one (mind you my prescription is expired, LOL).
Anyway, I guess though if you are having to ask and convince yourself it's okay, maybe there is an issue with abuse. I have no clue.
But I think most of us would admit to using our spouse's left over antibiotics on occasion and such.
Don't alert the authorities. LOL
