There is so much going on in my life right now- too much to type. We are still at the in laws, I am still running fevers 3-4 days a week, feeling achy, ringing in ears, heaviness in my legs, etc..
I am now seeing an internal medicine doctor. He suspects I may have Lyme's disease or Lupus. He ran blood work Thursday for 62 different tests and took 9 vials of blood.
He was so kind. He said, " This is not your imagination. You can't fake a fever or weight loss." In his office my temp was 100.9 and he noted that my weight loss was more than 10% of body weight in 14 weeks.
He said, " I will get to the bottom of this. I like a challenge."
He suspects the mold may have been a factor in my health but maybe not the culprit. He said it definitely didn't help.
Anyway, his "instinct" is that this is an autoimmune disease but he isn't sure which one.
Is there anything anyone can tell me about an autoimmune disorder? Anyone here have one??
I miss you all and hopefully, when my house is done ( they are thinking 2 more weeks), I will be back around.
((((((hugs)))))

I think you're one step from knowing what it is you're dealing with.

Credibility. What a wonderful thing to get from him.
> He said, " I will get to the bottom of this. I like a challenge."You hit paydirt. I'm really glad you have this guy helping you now.
> He suspects the mold may have been a factor in my health but maybe not the culprit. He said it definitely didn't help.It may explain your family's symptoms. How have they been during this away from home period?
You may have been the canary in the coal mine, for them.
> Anyway, his "instinct" is that this is an autoimmune disease but he isn't sure which one.All those blood tests will narrow it down, in a hurry.
> Is there anything anyone can tell me about an autoimmune disorder? Anyone here have one??This is a time to just pause, and let the truth come out, in its own time. You'll know soon enough. No point worrying about strange diseases that may have nothing to do with your situation.
> I miss you all and hopefully, when my house is done ( they are thinking 2 more weeks), I will be back around. Two weeks? Way cool. You should make sure that they include an electrostatic precipitator in the renovation plans. Mold spores can be "vacuumed" out of the air because they take a static electric charge.
> ((((((hugs)))))Hugs to you, honey. I hope you get some clarity soon, and then we can talk about managing it, whatever it is.
Take care,
Lar

Thanks Larry-- I always appreciate you and your helpful insight.
My family have all been 100% better since we've been out of our house. No more respiratory problems or infections since we left (for them).
I am really under huge amounts of stress right now in my life, i know that doesn't help my health issues.
I pray I have an answer really soon.
Thanks again.

Spriggy,
I hope you'll be feeling better very soon. It sounds as if you've found a great doctor. Please clone him so you can spread the wealth around.
