ok i realize this thread died a few days ago but, i have a question. my thyroid levels were 43 about a year and half ago. my son was about 7 months old (i have heard of post-partum hypo). they put me on synthroid i took it and felt great for a few weeks then started feeling yucky again. i had a thyroid check and it was to low. so they lowered the dosage i went and had it checked and it was to high again (but only by a few points). readjusted my meds and again i felt great for a little while then the poopy feeling came back. well i have three kids and go to school and i couldn't handle the ups and downs and decided to quit taking my meds (i know bad me) until summer and maybe i could get it straightened out then. i have not taken a single thyroid med in three months. wednesday i had it tested (the whole summer thing) and i called for the results today and get this, its .9! ummmm hello what the heck is up with that? i was told that if you had a thyroid problem it was a forever kinda thing. i don't get it anyone have any insight?
thanks,
ediebz

I have heard that childbirth can do this and then go away. That's great! Fondly, Phillipa
