Stevia for hypoglycemia??

Does anyone here know much about Stevia?

My dr. has suggested I avoid as much sugar as possible (FUN!) but I don't think Aspartame or Splenda are safe alternatives.

I've read a few things on Stevia.

Any ideas?

I've tried Stevia but I didn't like it much. I think it's probably quite safe though. It's worth a try.
