Serum LDH elevated...any ideas what it means?

Posted by gardenergirl on October 11, 2004, at 11:18:48

Okay, so just got some lab work back, and everything thyroid was fine. Cardiac enzymes were fine, but LDH or lactic dehydrongenase is slightly high (235, when reference range is 135-214).

So far from what I've seen on the web, this could mean almost anything. :0 Or at least lots of different somethings. It seems like I should ask my doc to test the isoenzymes to narrow down where it is coming from: liver, lungs, heart, other?

Anyone have any ideas?
