Any suggestions on what's the best form of calcium to take? I have been taking the citrate form but am now wondering what all the fuss is over coral calcium. Also, I just saw a bottle of calcium hydroxyapatite (sp?) Anyone know anything about that?

Calcium citrate is fine. I think the hoohoo over coral calcium is nothing more than a marketing scam. If coral was imbued with some miraculous mojo, then why is it accumulating in great beds of coral sand? Bacteria etc. woulda been all over it, and there woulda been none left to accumulate.

Calcium hydroxyapatite is purified bone meal. It's a crystalline compound, that if it's absorbed, is fully decomposed. In other words, your body won't know the difference about where it came from. I know of no especial benefit from it. Your saliva contains a good bit of it (teeth are constantly resurfaced, in part, because of the calcium hydroxyapatite). Marketing scam to make money from purified bone meal (waste product), IMHO.
