and if anyone remembers (or even cares), I went to see the Endo for extreme PMDD, and said I would report back with my results, and what was prescribed.
Test results showed I had literally NO testosterone (I'm female - we're supposed to have SOME testosterone), and my FSH levels were at the lowest number they could be at, so basically, I'm in perimenopause (I'm 40). Dr. always repeats tests, because hormone levels always fluctuate, so I'll have these tests done again in a month.
Perimenopausal symptoms as well as low testosterone levels sure do sound a lot like the extreme PMS I've been having, which the AD and MS I take do nothing for! So, I've begun a trial of testerone cream that I rub into my palms and inside arms every evening. I'll also start the Nuvaring birth control device, which I'm not too thrilled about, but at this point, I'll give just about anything a try. It's supposed to have a very low dose of hormones, so, hopefully it will help. If not, I'll stop immediately.
Anyway, that's where I'm at right now.

I started perimenopause at 40 too, as did my sister. You must be relieved to at least know what's going on and begin some treatments. I have found that some of the ADs mimic the symptoms of perimenopause too.
I have heard that black cohosh is really good too as a supplement.

Hi actually I do think I recall your post on this and I care :) I am kinda glad for you because it gives you a REASON now for some of the crap going on with you...a lot of endo issues mimic emotional ones. Good luck with the pills let us know how they work out
