Forget Viagra - now its the Barbie Pill
Source: Daily Express
Date: 24/02/2004
The anti-cancer treatment Melanotan has been found to have the side effects of helping users lose weight, increasing their tan and increasing their libido. The drug is nicknamed the "Barbie pill", and may see a large internet black market. It is to be promoted as a way to prevent skin cancer, and will initially be available only on prescription. It works by stimulating the naturally-occurring skin pigment melanin to help the body screen out ultraviolet radiation. However, the drug, to be launched in 2006, could increase the risk of skin cancer because it will encourage people to spend more time in the sun. When Melanotan was tested on female rodents, it tripled their levels of sexual behaviour.

All joking aside, I will try it when it is out. I mean what the hay, I've already become a prescription junkie.
