we went out for dinner and saw dead kitty by the side of the road. it was him. we buried him in the backyard with a granite headstone. I can't stop crying. He was just a baby

I don't know why animal death disturbs me more than humans. I suppose because they're innocent, like little children. Anyway, sorry to hear about little kitty. You have my sympathy (((lurpsie))).

I remember when I first got kitty, one year ago... I was scared that I wouldn't be able to take good care of him, that I'd forget to give him food and water, or that I'd smoosh him if he slept next to me.

He WAS a great comfort to me. When I lived in Chicago, I had a mousie in my apt. When kitty moved in, my mousie moved out.

He used to sit on my lap and hiss and scratch if I tried to move. That's why I spend so much time on the computer, because kitty wanted to be comfy.

Kitty was like a little rascal, always finding a way to get into trouble, and then when we would yell in reprobation he would utter a little kitten meow "who, me?"

He was *kind of* innocent, and kind of a bad-*ss.

(((kitty)))

thanks for the suggestion, it's a lovely poem, and a moving website.

I wish I didn't have to go through this, but at least I'm not alone.

I remember that :-) you were a terrified Kitty Mamma! But you became a good one. Actually a terrific Kitty Mamma! And you can do it again. I know you can. I have faith in you LL.

You are not cracking up. You are just fine. You are just feeling the hurt and loss of someone you loved.
