Versions of Bibical Scipture

Posted by rjlockhart04-08 on September 17, 2009, at 15:04:25

Have you noticed diffrent versions from the King James Version?

Sometimes I think what the Scholar's are doing is making it more easy to understand, the NIV version is a easy read version to read, to me. Just I hope, it's directly the same in diffrent word's.

I read the Old testement alot, The God of Israel is real, and i'm afraid of him. See what get's to me, is God of Israel...made a covenant and it was broken, I don't know all, then he sent his son to show his way's. Yet there are so many diffrent view's, i can't state "this", because other people believe in diffrent things.

So, Israel comes to eye alot in the old testement, was this God's promised land? and it wasnt given because the Covenant was broken?

Anyways, that above is just question's. What version do you read?

You wrote,[...I read...The God of Israel is real...afraid of (H)im...]
I am unsure as to what you are wanting to mean here and what others could think from reading what you wrote here. If you could post answers to the following, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.
A. What did you read that caused you to fear the God of Israel?
B. Is that God the same God that you give service and worship to if you give service and worship to a God or Gods or the supernatural?
C. other questions not stated

On the question of fear of God (among other things), what do you think of this?

>1: Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD.
2: And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
3: And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
4: And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life.
5: But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.
6: And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life.
7: So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
8: And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
9: Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job 2.3-2.9, King James Version

Well, Lou...

Sometimes how I write, doesnt make sense, yet i'm trying to put out from the way my thoughts put it.

Fearing God, is the first sign of wisdom from my perspective. Yet let me explain it, when the people where taken out of Egypt, they crossed the red sea, yet then some of them didnt believe or had faith, and they where send into the wilderness for 40years. Because they did not obey the statues of God's Covenant.

2nd, Satan [Lucifer] I know he's there, because the oppression and the hatred, that he sends, he's intelligent.

A) Yes, from reading scipture, he is a god of judgement.

Ezekiel 20:21 But the children rebelled against me; they did not walk in my statues, and were to carful to observe my ordinances by whose observance man shall live; they profaned my sabbath's.

B) I write to God in more "psalms" of my own, in a personal way.

Is there some way to connect to God, as David, and Abraham did thought faith. (I don't know exactly)
