I had a very close relationship with the lord for a long time, some thing happened, alot of things happened.
What happened, well i used to almost try to flatter the lord, i have 3-4 spiral notebooks full of letters telling the lord my problems.
I just stopped, and now everything seems so, flat, i know god has plans for us, if we accept them, but what happed to me?
I just think tihngs to myself now. I do pray but im not with the lord. I am christain.
Does this mean God will not exept me if i dont have a relationship with him even though i have declared him my lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
Will i go to hell?
Please someone.

No you won't go to hell.
You don't have to earn God's acceptance. It hasn't changed no matter what you do.
I'm sorry you are having these distressing feelings but faith isn't about feelings really. God is still the same no matter what you feel.

Could you clarify as to what authority there is for the statement above? If you could, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly

In your quote above, could you write what your understanding of the word {saved} means and what the word {faith} means?
If you could, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.

I know what you're going through rjlockhart. I went through exactly the same myself. Although I found my ground for a while, it's still hard sometimes.
The first few weeks are always the hardest.
My new faith has been in God's love, even if I don't believe in personal God.
I have faith that if there is a God (it can be any God, not just a Christian God or even the Christian one, any), he is loving enough to understand our problems and not blame us for them. I still worry, but that's been my new version of faith.
Whatever happens to you, I hope you just found a solid ground so you can be happy with what you believe.

You wrote,[...what is your understanding of the meaning...{saved}?...]
The word {saved} as used in your citation of the bible verse was trnslated as {saved} from a Greek word, {sozo}.
The word {sozo} could mean {healing}. The healing could be spiritually, physically or mentally. The word could also mean to be made {whole} It could also mean to {deliver} or {protect}.

The Greek word translated as {saved} in your citation could also have the meaning IMO of being {made free} which could be IMO the connotation of being {liberated}. There is also the meaning,IMO, that there, in some instances, for the word to mean that there could be {reconciliation}and {peace}.

Faith: the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is spiritual- it can't be "seen" with our physical eyes which is why we can sometimes believe we have "lost" it.
The same "faith" you had when you accepted Christ, is the same faith you must believe in now when you don't "feel" Him.
And understand, often times, when we get to the point of realizing our feelings do not represent "truth", we enter a new level of maturity in our faith.
So keep pressing on!
For we know, " He never leaves us nor forsakes us."

> For we know, " He never leaves us nor forsakes us."Friends,
This is a request for clarification to those interested in the aspects of this post in question. It is not a spacific request to the author, although it would be their choice to respond to it or not.
It is written here,[...the same faith you had when you accepted Christ..the same faith you {must} believe in now...truth...for {we} know He (Jesus Christ) never leaves us nor forsakes us...].
I am unsure as to if the statement above means that:
A. who are the {we}?
B. could there be another faith that one can accept?
C. Who are those that Jesus never leaves or forsakes?
D. what is the "truth" refered to in the post?
E other relevant aspects.
If I was to have the clairfication requrested, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.

Well i'll tell you what really happened, a series of events that where horrible, car crash (2), taken off prescription medication, strife, i just started to not put god first anymore...you know.I started so say ok, here are my problems if they dont get solved, i have been prayed for and this man told me im looking at 100 diffrent problems exept one thing.....God.
I did belive that, because if you put god first then, well i had a bad experience, and sometimes im just not motivated to do what i hear Christ tells me, right now i dont here him at all.
I have a group of about 15-18 people who are really godly sent friends, i prayed for friends and yes, i got that prayer awnsered most definely, these people are so kind they pray, they definely want me off psychiatric medication. Thats what i dont agree with. But you know its very warm....welcoming.
Thats my say....
Thanks for references.

> MattIf you have accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Saviour than you will NOT go to hell. You cannot rely on your feelings which constantly change, and you cannot lose your Salvation. Even though you may not feel like it, continue to pray to God in Jesus Name. Act first and your feelings will follow. And don't forget we have an enemy (Satan) who is constantly trying to confuse us. Remain in Christ and he will remai in you..He will never leave you or forsake you.
