"Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep Your word. I know, O Lord, that Your judgements are right, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me."
Psalm 119:67, 75.

"If you ask anything in Jesus' name, beleiving, you shall receive."
He is the Great I Am. Praise God! Praise God!As you might be able to tell, I just got out of prayer. His presence is wonderful with me right now. Oh if I can stay like this. If I stay in His presence, I dont have depression/anxiety.
Perfect love castest out fear.

I have found that verse many times in my years walking with Christ.
I'll have to ask my husband but I think those were written by David after he committed his "infamous" sin with Bathsheba and had her husband murdered.
Anyway, it is often through affliction that we are drawn closer to God. We recognize our need for Him when we suffer- sometimes when we have walked away from Him, our afflictions bring us back into His arms.
Thanks for sharing that verse.
This is the end of the thread.
