Glory to the Newborn King
Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners, reconciled.

In your post above, is "the Newborn King' christiandom's Jesus? And what could you mean by the phrase, "Peace on earth"? And could you explain what you mean in the phrase,"God and sinners, reconciled"? If you could clarify these, then I could have the opportunity to respond accordingly.

MKB,
You wrote,[...he wasn't jewish...].
If the song was written by Felix Mendelssohn, he was born to two jewish parents.
The life of Felix Mendelssohn , is a story that I would be pained to tell. But if you would want, at your request , I will post thelife of Felix Mendelssohn here.

I was talking about the author of the words, Charles Wesley. Mendelssohn was indeed the son of Jewish parents, who converted to Christianity. I am not requesting anything from you.

Yes, I know what the song writer meant, and so do you. Respond if you want. Meanwhile, the angels are still singing.

But we are all sinners, and all sinners can be reconciled, even Mormons. I doubt anyone has the corner on sin.

Yes, we are all sinners and we can all be reconciled but it is not my belief that all are. YMMV

I definately do not believe that all are saved either, but we all CAN be. People of my faith believe it's basically our own choice and accountability, coupled with the generous grace of God..

I went to sleep with my headphones on last night and woke up to a scripture that explains who will be saved very clearly, too clearly in fact to ignore. Did Jesus Christ organize a religion called Christianity? If not, what was the name of his church? I believe His church in early times was named "The Church of Jesus Christ" This scripture warns that within four generations of His death it wouldn't look the same.
I also believe that it was
preserved in the form of a book
hidden from those who would want to wreck it,
for the specific purpose of coming forth in our day,
this last gospel dispensation before the second coming,
to come forward in its purity,
to help the earth align itself to truth,
and to God,
to prepare the earth for the second advent of Jesus Christ.Modern and postmodern Christianity rejects this book because it tells about the wreck that is taking place today. There are wrecks all around us everywhere, so why do we get offended when God tells us there is going to be a wreck if we don't repent? Pride I suppose.

disclaimer: if anyone chooses to read the scripture link please don't read it through a mormon lens, thinking that I am saying that only mormons will be saved, because that is not what it is saying, and it's not what I believe. Read it through the lens of Jesus Christ, as if He were speaking directly to you personally, because in effect, He is. This shouldn't offend any other religion because it is only talking about one, the religion of Jesus Christ, and if that one cannot be respected and recognized by others, then there is no respect for religious freedom anywhere.> >

> http://scriptures.lds.org/3_ne/27click "next" to read about three prophets who have never tasted of death and are still on the earth preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many have seen these men, but no one knows who they are or where they are. This is not extraterrestial or satanic. It is simply real. Perhaps unbelievable by some, but not by others. I suspect they are over in the tsunami wreck right now, helping out in any way they can. a lot of things that are real are hard to comprehend without full understanding of spiritual law. And no one has that.
