hi Lil Jimi,
thanks for the msg on the social board. I follow the Theravada tradition. Several years ago I did the vipassana 10 day meditation retreat & from that I became interested in the theology too. Prior to that I had tried attending a Chinese Pure Land school (more zen like) temple but I couldnt get past the emphasis on ritual & then there were the beatings (I kid you not!).Anyway I will read through this board over the next few days & look forward to having a chat with you about this stuff.

... took me this long to come here and find it ... poor of me, but you'll be understanding, i'm sure ... thanks in advance!i was using mindfulness practice to relieve stress ... ... i'm not good enough at it ... ... but it seems to be much more effective since i've started lexapro ...

hey Lil Jimi, sorry I have not followed up at all with the faith board. Long story but have lost my faith the last few years. Anyway if you do happen to read this I do hope you are ok during this period of banishment. I have the impression you gained a lot of support here. Im not sure how long your exile was for but hope you are ok & return once your sentence is up.
