the search is over

Posted by rayww on January 16, 2003, at 16:32:44

I just figured out how to use the "search" feature at the bottom of the page. I'm kind of shocked, baffled, exhausted, from reading just a few of the archived posts. I see why the faith board was created. I'm not sure I'm helping here. I have been trying to straighten out some of the confusion but maybe I've just made it worse. When I read Lou's definition of "which Jesus" it made me so ill I had to go lay down. Seriously, I think I'm going to be ill. Men's perception of Jesus has been screwed up since the beginning of time, thanks to satan. Bring it on Armegeddon and lets get this life over with.

I see it does no real good to discuss religion on a public forum. The only way to find answers is to do your own private search. I'm not helping here, if anything I am making it worse. I'm leaving.

rayww,
You wrote,[...when I read Lou's definition of "which jesus" it made me so ill I had to go lay down...]
Could you clarify what you read that [made you ill]? If you could, then I could respond accordingly.
Lou

Keeping in mind that the idea here is not to post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down, could you please rephrase that?

If you stay, that is. And I hope you will... Thanks,

Bob

I did a search on "Christ" and felt ill when I read people's perception of Him, probably expressed the best by http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20020517/msgs/24183.html.

I reacted poorly I'll admit. I am fond of Lou and all the others who post here.

rayww,
I guess that I didn't bring out what I wanted to bring out in that post, for [it made you ill.].
I could say it better like this:
The quote that the other poster made to me was;
[...if you deny me before men, I will deny you before my Father...]
This quote is part of a body of verses from the Christiandom bible that has been used for about 2000 years to arrouse anti-Semitic feelings toward jews. The verse has been used to promulgate that jews will be denied by God because they deny Jesus in public {...deny me before men...}.
I wrote what had been revealed to me as what the meaning of the verse meant , to me. You see, I do not believe that there is ANY anti-Semitism in the Christiandom bible. And I have been telling here what is to many, including you, to be a confusing picture, for the words that were spoken to me, a jew, by the Rider, are also contained in your bible as you have shown your bewilderment to. But this will become evident when I finish the 7 Gates. When that is finished, perhaps, some will see that God so loved the world that Whoever Believes on Him will have eternal life. Not just those that say that they are a special group. The part that says,[...if you deny me before men...] has been revealed to me that it is the person's life that is the evidence of whether they deny Him. For when I was in The City of Peace, while I was leaving, with my back turned to the Rider , I heard a call. It was, "Lou". I turned around and the Rider said to me, "If you love me, you will keep my commandments."
Lou

http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=%22keep+my+commandments%22

who is Jesus Christ, if not the God of the Old Testament, New Testament, Book of Mormon, and Doctrine and Covenants (and the rider)? Will the real Jesus Christ please stand up? http://scriptures.lds.org/3_ne/9/15#15 And, who was this????? http://scriptures.lds.org/ether/3/14#14

Oh, let me guess, Satan. Yes, that's what some people really think. But, there is one slight problem here, and that is Satan was denied birth and a physical body. He was cast out of heaven and the third of the hosts of heaven who followed him, (the greatest "betrayal" of all time) into outer darkness, and they will never be given a body, so this heavenly being who visited the Americas (Other sheep I have which are not of this fold) http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=%22other+sheep%22&search.x=26&search.y=5 could not possibly have been Satan.

I'm not meaning to put down your belief as much as to point out our similarities in Christ Jesus. I love the Jewish and understand their great destiny. Jews and Mormons are linked you know. No, you don't know. (2/12 of the house of Israel)( and to not leave anyone out, anyone can be grafted into the tree) - anything "BUT" an anti-semetic belief.

I am reacting and pouting in my usual way, and still plan on leaving. So, if you could but allow me the morsel of the last word? ;-)

Of course there is no anti-semitism in the Bible! Bob pointed out on admin that you didn't say who was using these verses to promote anti-semitism in your opinion. And the Devil himself quotes scripture in the New Testament when he tempted Christ. Sorry I jumped to conclusions about your post.

An interesting quote from the catholic catechism:

1260. Every man who is ignorant of the Gospel of Christ and of his Church, but seeks the truth and does the will of God in accordance with his understanding of it, can be saved.
