Lou, it is good to see you back and conversing with Miller about your life. Your absense has taken some life out of the board. I am trying to understand you, and in some respects I do, but I would like you to explain something to me about your belief, but only if you are comfortable doing so.
First of all, I believe you had an experiance that saved your life, I have never doubted that. But what I don't understand is all your quotes of the New Testament that are found in your description of it. It has been my understanding that Jewish scripture ends with Malachi and doesn't begin again with Matthew. Do you reverence the New Testament and read it? I don't understand how you can quote the words of Christ without wondering if the rider in your vision was Christ. I'm sorry if this question is one that would cause you pain. That is not my intent. I sincerely want to know.
If you could communicate this answer to me in your own body, outside of the rider experiance, it would help me understand it better.

rayww,
You asked a good question. but for me to answer it, would be to complete the 7 Gates. I was intending to post what was revealed to me about:
A. What it means to "believe", as it has been revealed to me.
B. Who is/was the Jesus christiandom "believes" in as it has been revealed to me.
C. Who really killed the Jesus that Christiandom believes in
D. What does "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" mean, as it has been revealed to me.
E. the Lake of Fire as it has been revealed to me.
F. What was revealed to me about the Word becomming flesh.
G. The covenant of blood as it has been revealed to me.
H. other topics relevant to the above.
Now I was really not intending ever to return to this community, but came back to answer Miller's concern about me. However, I am always open to discussion here or by email.
Lou

Lou, corresponding via email is not something I would do. What if I was to tell you that I had it revealed to me who you are, or I should say, who you perceive yourself to be? Would you want me to write about my revelation here on this board?
Well, true or false:
Lou has had a true/false revelation, and thus perceives himself to be a true/false prophet. There was obviously something in your 7th sermon that Bob felt would offend the Christian community. I personally would prefer not to read it.
However, I, like Miller and others, do care about you as a person and about your state of health. If, per slight chance, you do think of yourself as a prophet, there are some criteria that your revelations would follow.
1. What was revealed to you would not conflict with existing doctrine of the church
2. Since there are both true and false prophets, what was revealed to you would not conflict with other revelations received by the true prophets.
3. http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=%22ye+shall+know+them%22&scripturesearch_button=Search
4. A true prophet exists only to testify of God, and would return all glory back to him. Or would glorify God in all that he did, and he would accomplish those things he was destined to do. A false prophet would claim the glory to himself, and want the world to look to him for the light and life, but would not build anything beyond a personal following. When the word "prophet" is mentioned by a mormon, the community suddenly retorts the Joseph Smith /false prophet idea. So, perhaps I am brave in mentioning this. Or stupid. I've been known to be either, or both.
I care, love, and defend truth. I believe in true prophets who testify of Christ, and I believe in Christ.
I see we have a bit of a problem here in that Malachi was the last known prophet of the House of Israel, of which Judah is but 1/12, if you include Ephrium and Manassah, sons of Joseph. But, the future is bright for Israel. Wait and see. God holds true to his covenant. http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=covenant&search.x=23&search.y=10

rayww,
You wrote,[...a prophet ...]
First, I do not consider myself a prophet. I am only telling of what I experianced here. I have been given power to overcome depression and addiction and I only want to share my experiance here so that others could possibly be helped in overcoming their afflictions.
My experiance is a spiritual one. I think that you, if anyone, could appreciate that. I had the great pleasure of knowing a Mormon 40 years ago, before my experiance, and he has left an indelible memory in me, for he truly showed , as you write of, the "fruits". I am not affiliated with a group, for I agree with you , that "by their fruits, will you know them."
You wrote,[...something involved in the 7th Gate would offend Christians...]. No, there is nothing involved in the 7th Gate that I would consider to offend anyone.
Best regards,
Lou

Thanks for your explanation Lou because I needed to clear that up in my own head.
I am glad you are trying to help others.
I am honestly trying to understand you.

Could you clarify what it is that you are trying too understand? If you could, then , perhaps, I could offer some clarification to facilitate your understanding.
Best regards,

What do you know about the spirit prison? The scriptures in the New Testament and Book of Mormon say that in between the death and resurrection of Christ he visited the spirits in prison. Later we learn that he was there just long enough to organize the missionary force and give the authority to begin the work of redemption there. There are two categories of spirits as soon as they die. the teachers and the learners, well and maybe the refuse-to-learners. progression is halted until you pass through the gate of baptism. that's why we have temples, to do the heavenly work for those who have not had the opportunity on earth. for those who have not had the opportunity to learn of Christ. for those who have not understood the plan of salvation. this is my belief, and it seems to agree with yours. that is another thing i don't understand about you.

http://scriptures.lds.org/dc/138/8#8Lou, this is a revelation received by another man when he was wondering about the spirit prison referred to in 1 Peter 3:19. It was added to our scriptures a few years ago. I am curious. Does this revelation agree with yours?
This is the end of the thread.
