> i know this may sound crazy coming frome a sucidal person who never belived in god befor(just thought i'd throw that in) but i have thought realy hard about difrent religions and science(darwin in particular) and come to a conclusion. the sun is god. think realy hard .the bible says that god created us in his image. the sun is a ball of energy and every atom in the univers has electrons going around it.it also say in the bible that we cannot see god(i think correct me if i'm wrong) what happens if you stare at the sun. you see the light coming off of it not the actuall sun. this is only my thery but it kinda links alota religions together and science.but being a person who DIDNT belive in god i never study the bible very hard.i belive that the preachers changeg the bible over the period between now and when it was written.unless i am wrong it was written in a somewhat dead language(it wasnt used much) so the preatchers could say it said whatever they whant it to say. but of course some of the real bible has to be left in it.I am also against orginized religion(i know that sounds bad)but i have a feeling god dose not care if we go to church,or donate money to it. i think he whants us to have an IDEA about him so that in the after life we arnt caught completly off gaurd of the way things work

hi skully...you are very close...it is no accident that nearly all religions refer to "the light" in a special way...but, as you have already indicated, "time" and "languages" and the not so "good intentions" of priests and governments alike have muddied things up...actually god would never "limit" himself/herself to "one" particular form...being omnipotent, god takes on any and all forms at will...but, concerning your reference to "light", I'd like to share some things with YOU to help YOU "remember" what YOU already know--what each of US knows...first, it is also no accident that WE are called "human"--that's HUE-MAN..."hue" to denote tint, shade, color--a direct result of OUR capacity to perceive "light"...according to the best modern physicists "light" is the only thing that cannot be classified as either "matter" or "energy"...it possesses "some" of the characteristics of both matter and energy, yet it breaks many of the laws that "govern" the actions of matter and energy...consequently, it completely defies all the logic of "science", and it ultimately allows US to CREATE and perceive whatever reality WE desire...for example, a few of US (led by steven hawking) theorized the notion of "anti-matter"--described as an infinitely dense vacuum, yet, void of anything--even "light"...no sooner than than the theory had been formulated, WE "discovered" black-holes...at first black-holes "appeared" just as they had been described in the theory--infinitely dense and void of anything, including light...then someone came along with a theory that "light" could escape a black-hole...no sooner than hawking reviewed the theory and reluctantly admitted that it was "possible", we had pictures of light escaping a black-hole...time and again, whatever WE have conceived has come to pass...whether the notions of anti-matter and light escaping from black-holes came from "comic-book lore" or "scientific endeavor" is a matter of considerable debate that really "doesn't matter"--because, in fact, there is "no matter"--there IS only LIGHT... LIGHT is the mechanism by which SPIRIT manifests ITSELF "physically"...LIGHT is the mechanism by which the physical realm takes it's "holographic" form--where the pattern for the whole can be found in the "parts"--the same way a holograph is made, the same way WE have perceived DNA to contain the recipe for the whole body...consider, for a moment, the fact that you cannot place your finger on the color blue...blue is merely the result of your "perception" of light reflected at a certain wave-length...without light from the sun your eyes would see nothing...now consider the possibility that your other senses, as well as your physical needs, are dependent upon light...a world without light produces neither food to taste nor food for thought...ONE could also ask--what proof that any part of OUR existence is "real" can be offered in the absence of the light of day?
