Two new books arrived, can't decide

Posted by Damos on March 26, 2006, at 15:59:41

Ordered two books on a whim a while ago and they just arrived and I can't decide which one to read first so suggestions welcomed.

"The Book of Dead Days"
"The Brief History of the Dead"

Just finally finished "Sophie's World" and loved it, took forever as I couldn't stop thinking and questioning long enough to actually keep reading LOL :-)

The review made me wish list "The Brief History of the Dead." Thanks.

'Course, I gotta finish "With No One As Witness," first, and then I got a few others in the stack...

Hi Racer,

Thanks for your reply. Congratulations on becoming a deputy and thanks so much for volunteering, you'll be wonderful :-)

I actually started "The Brief History of the Dead" and am enjoying it. It is dark and kind of ominous in its depiction of what happens to the world, but interesting and though provoking.

Hope you're doing well.

I was confused, and had to check my shelf, but I have and haven't read yet "Already Dead" and "How the Dead Live". I've already read and liked "Death Will Have Your Eyes" and "The Devil is Dead" and "The Devil Knows You're Dead" "Dead Folks" and "Deadman".

Hi Racer,

Just wanted to let you know that I've finished "The Brief History of the Dead". It was one of those books that I finished thinking this really could have been something special. Sadly it really grabbed me at the start but then lost me in places. Guess the overall tone is apocalyptic. Really made me think hard about life in some places and feel very deeply too. In its own way it has a lot to say, but I was left feeling just a little let down.

Happy reading,
Damos
