Nikki! Need your help with Jasper Fforde!

OK, I just finished "The Big Over Easy" and I have a few questions which I think you should be able to answer: where does "the Jellyman" come from? I don't recognize it, although it makes faint chimes ring in my memory. Nursery rhyme? Fairy tale? (If it's a fairy tale, though, I'd kinda expect to know it. I have ALL the fairy books, from "The Red Fairy Book" through "The Crimson Fairy Book" and even down to "The Grey Fairy Book," as well as Clemens Brentano's fairy tales (which he didn't really collect, you know), and "Hans Christian Anderson's Fairy Tales." And probably some others, too, but can't think of any besides Grimm's right now.)

I enjoyed the book, by the way. That is one silly fellow writing them.

Oh, and you'll laugh at this -- my husband looked at the picture on the back flap of the book, and said, "Hey, he looks Australian."

So I had to tell Hubby that the author's name was really Bruce. ;-D

In there, somewhere, is a guide to each of the books, that will answer that question *L*

Sorry - I'm dashing off for a weekend away for a friends wedding and running behind schedule (and really should't be online *l*)

Will checkback with you Sunday night!
