I really do think "The Maltese Falcon" by Dashell Hammett is the best book ever written in America. Alice In Wonderland is the best book written in UK. I've never seen alice in movie form, but Maltese falcon version is one the best movies ever made. But like all great adaptions, the book adds so much more. I would like all readers here to consider checking this out from the library or buying, because, if you don't already know, I think you will be very pleasantly suprised by the dialouge and power. If you like, try The thin man again movie and book, but book better. I've seen people talk about Picoult here lately. Can you kind of give me an idea what that is like. I am open, and even worked as a bookseller for a while, but my mind is blank on her.

Sorry mate but I can't go past "To Kill a Mockingbird" in either book or movie form. Grew up wanting Atticus Finch/Gregory Peck to be my dad.
Hope the eyes are still healing well and that you're generally doing okay.
