Well, it's the holiday season again and time to buy another book for my wife. Last year you recommened " A tree grows in Brookyn." She really liked it---so this year I think I will call on you again for another batch of suggestions. Any input? Thanks

OK, another favourite from here is "The Secret Life of Bee's" by Sue Monk Kidd.. Again, a story about a girl..
One thats a little different is "Girl with Pearl Earrings".. not found a female that did't enjoy that!
Or, as a third choice, a lovely series for holiday that are easy reads to get through is the "Number 1 Ladies Detective Agency" series.
Hope that gives you some ideas,
