Has anyone seen Misery (1990) with Kathy Bates

Posted by rjlockhart98 on October 8, 2005, at 18:02:54

Not to be little or put down, but i think Kathy Bates has issues in real life.

I hated the part where she broke his feet on the bed. EEEKKK!

Movie is sort gloomy, and psychotic.

But it is a good classic.

Yes, I have seen the movie "Mysery", and actually I loved it. I adore "Kathy Bates". I think she is a very talented actress who plays challenging parts and isn't afraid to be a small supporting actress even though she has been the star on many occassions. I loved her in "Fried Green Tomatoes". And her partially nude scene with "Jack Nicholson" in "About Schmidt" was brave indeed on her part. I haven't ever read anything about her personal life, so I wouldn't know if she has issues or not. We all have issues, though, don't we?

LOVE that movie! But the first time I saw it where she took a bat to his feet, I almost lost my lunch. I don't know how an actress can look that pyscho and not be in real life at least a little bit. LOL

Actually more of a suspense thriller. Written by Stephen King.

In the book, she cut off' his feet. Mwa-ha-ha!

I was always a little disappointed about the bat to the feet thing.

I love Stephen King. Its my lifelong dream to meet him. Him and Orlando Bloom - but for different reasons.

Loved the movie, love the author.

And love Kathy too. I always remember as the over-possessive mother to Adam Sandler (I think) when he plays "foosball" and she doesn't want him to. I just cannot remember the movie's name right now.

Loved that Movie. Love Adam Sandler, as sick as he is, my son (13) has all his movies. He is simply twistedly funny. As for Kathy Bates in that movie, she was histerical. Speaking of the "debil" in all women. When he takes his girl out on his lawnmower. I still laugh at the scene where she serves him grilled baby alligators.

Oh my, Kathy Bates can play me in the movie about my life.

Although the movie "The Water Boy" exaggerates the cajun culture, I love it. I watched it 7 times so far.

oh yes!
i remember that one.
i did enjoy it rather :-)

and as for Misery...
i liked that too
though as is typically the case
i thought the book was better.

i'm a stephen king fan from way back...
though i'll admit i haven't read anything since...
oh about since "Rose Madder" or "the Green Mile"
but i do enjoy some of his stuff...

i guess he has turned the phrase
'i'm your number one fan'
into something fairly creepy...
and yeah, she plays creepy pretty good.

but then she was great in fried green tomatoes too :-)
