I think that's the name -- I just picked up a couple of his books at a used book store: "The Midwich Cuckoos" and "Chocky." I've never heard of the latter, but the former is the basis for "Village of the Damned."
Has anyone else read his books? What did you think? Am I in for a treat? Or just another Potato Chip book?

I think that one used to be studied in schools. Kind of 1984 type social commentary etc.
I think there might be 3 triffids ones. Plants gain taxic movement and attempt to take over the world. Very scarey and good :-)
Let me know how you find his others.

Extremely thought provoking. I read most of his work when I was quite young and so had to reread them later on in order to appreciate them fully.
Some of his books were made into films (British) if you're interested after reading the books to see how they were interpreted.

Day of the Triffids was great. Reminds me of another, maybe similar book, A Canticle for Liebowitz, I read about the same time.
