Drat you. That's all I can say. If you could see me, though, you'd see that I'm sticking my tongue out at you, too.

Anyway, now that I've {pout} been good on my latest Amazon order, bypassing -- for now -- "Last Tango In Aberystwyth," I have to ask you if you've read "The Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse?" I think the author is Rankin?

Also, since I like it, have you read "Pigs Don't Fly?" There's a sequel, too, but I forget the title...

I read another Robert Rankin book a while ago, and really didn't get on with it.. but I should give more of his a try..

You reccomended "Pigs Don't Fly" a while ago, but its out of print in the UK, and I keep forgetting to buy it from Amazon resellers..

J has stolen the latest Aberystwyth book off me while I read "The Big Over Easy"..

Anyway, we were discussing ow to describe the Aberystwyth books.. and one line J was reading kind of summed it up..

"I nodded in encouragement. I wouldn't go as far as to say she smiled - she was a capuchin monnkey and they keep their cards close to their chest - but a look of heightened interest was evident"

Its just the noir-ness combined with the absurd.. *LOL* Absurd-noir is the whole new genre he came up with *L*

Sorry, I mustn't tempt you any more!!

let me know when you do break down and buy the first one.. a few "Brit-isms" might need clearing up!!

Nikki xx
