Have either of you read the other series by the "No 1 Ladies Detective Agency" guy? A. M. Smith? The series that begins with "Portugese Irregular Verbs"?
I've only just started the first book, but it's utterly charming! Again, there's just no other way to put it. It's charming. That Smith fellow is quite the charmer, and so funny. This one is much funnier than the N1LDA. At least, if you're me -- which you aren't -- it's much funnier, but I'm sure if you're you, you'll still find it funny.
And, after all, don't we all need funny books in our lives?
(Well, all 'cept maybe GG, who needs some serious stuff before she gets her dessert, right? But this is good dessert when you've finished your brussel sprouts!)

I've picked them up a number of times, and then put them back.. They *are* on my list, but my list is getting a little long at the moment *LOL*
I must do an updated "what I've been reading" post *L*
I'm reading the third part of an Isabele Allende series.. starts with "City of Beasts", then "Kingdom of the Golden Dragon", and then last night I started "Forest of the pygmies".. They're kids books really, but as I adore Isabele Allende I read em (Oh, hardship for me having to read some kids books *L*) but they are really lovely books.. All slightly magical and I do love that in a book *G*
I will move the AMS books further up my list though *G*

OMG Amazon must love me by now! There's nothing like shopping for books to immediately improve one's day.
Thanks, Racer!
