what is my taste?
You might ask.
I like women writers....
I like mystery or adventure stories
Humor is good too.
Excitement...fast moving....a page turner.
Is this sounding like the very book you are reading? or one you have just put down....or remember from your past?
I need your help...
an author that has written quite a bit and the books are huge.
I know I am asking a lot.
But I lay my needs at your feet.
If you have any leads...I will follow willingly.

Well. Not a woman, but a man. A dauntingly longish looking book, but ever so satisfying a read: "The Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay. I was very filled up by this book, like a great meal.

Hi Jai:
I like all of "P.D.James". Her books are quite intelligent. I need a dictionary by my bed as her vocabulary is so developed but not obscure. She's British and I find the Brits have a much richer vocabulary than American writers. My favorite would be "The Skull Beneath the Skin". She's quite prolific; she's written 15 novels. Anyway that's my two cents worth.

I have wondered about her work. Thanks for a lead on the first book of hers to read.

How about...the DaVinci Code? Mystery, adventure, fast-moving, page-turner. I just fininshed it and it was worth every page.

I'd just like to plug the double double quotes feature at this site:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/faq.html#amazon
The first time anyone refers to a book without using this option, I post this to try to make sure he or she at least knows about it. It's just an option, though, and doesn't *have* to be used. If people *choose* not to use it, I'd be interested why not, but I'd like that redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration:

Thanks!
