Dan Brown's books

...enthrall me. I am not educated on the subject of religious history or symbolism; and I found the plots to be hard to follow, especially during "bad" days, but I really, really enjoyed both "The Davinci Code" and "Angels and Demons". How are his other books?

I remember that my church's discussion group (the scheduling didn't work out for me so I was unable to attend) talked about "The Davinci Code" earlier this year, and from what I understand there was a bit of a controversy over it in general. I'm guessing that would have to do with the religious history bit, but do you know what that might be about? I've been meaning to get around to reading it, but with way too many unread books sitting on my shelf, that could take a while.

I don't want to give away the whole plot, but it has to do with the Vatican, some murders, a secret society, and puzzles. I think the author has a website devoted to the book and that has puzzles on it too. My brain was in knots trying to keep it all straight, but it was a riveting read.

I can understand how it would be viewed as a controversial book.

Sounds interesting! I guess I'll go check it out to find out, then. With my pdoc going away for five weeks, I'm guessing that that pile of unread books is going to dwindle quickly! I'm not so sure about the whole brain-knotting thing, as I never feel like I understand what I read very well (even if it's for English and I manage to write a coherent essay), but I'll give it a shot.

Thanks for the info!
