Well, a friend who I know has similar tastes in books to me reccomended a series of books to me, so I bought the first one in the series.. "The Eyre Affair" by Jasper Fforde.. only up toc hapoter 3 and really enjoyiing it already!
Also stocked up for the rest of the month.. out of the buy 2 get thirs free section *l* So my purchases were..
"You Shall know our velocity" by Dave Eggers.. I utterly adored "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" by him, so have been looking forward to a new one from him!
"Ricky" is the autobiogrpahy of a british actor / comedian called Ricky Tomlinson who is just hilarious and I adore him!!
And then "hey Nostradamus" by Douglas Coupland.. I'm of generation x, and his books always strike some kid of chord with me, so looking forward to this!! I think "Microserfs" is certainly one of my most read and favourite books! *L*So thats the next few weeks sorted book wise!! Think my hubby will really like the Japser FForde books, so should be able to cnvince him to buy parts 2 and 3 of it *l*

i have an autographed copy of this book (with a little heart and circled x! i think douglas coupland likes me!)
though i must admit i was struck by his appearance when i met him. it's probably uncivilized for me to note that i thought doug looked like an escaped mental patient. but his ramblings (and his art at the show that followed the book discussion) were quite interesting if surreal.
emotionally that story hit me hard. i would rather the book had ended 20 pages sooner. do not want to spoil it for you though. let me know when you have finished and i'll discuss (page me on social if i'm not paying attention here!!!)
