I just picked up "The Wedding, a novel by Dorothy West" in the library yesterday and am really enjoying it! I first heard about this book on NPR about 10 years ago, I guess, in an interview with the author around the time it was published. Apparently, she started writing this book decades earlier, and couldn't get it published until Jackie Onassis, who met her on Martha's Vineyard, encouraged her to finish it and publish it, as well as a book of stories.
This is the end of the thread.
