Think hubby no wknows me too well.. he mainly bought me books for my birthday, and 3 of the 4 are kids books *lol*
Firstly.. "Lyra's Oxford" by Phillip Pullman.. a short story, and beautiful book, to keep us Dark Materials fans going till the 4th book!! *g* It has a great map of Lyra's Oxford in it!
Then "Count Karlstein" by Phillip Pullman.. He is by far my favourite chhildrens author, so looking forward to that!!
And "The Wolves in the walls" by Neil Gaiman, illustrated by Dave McKean.. I love Neil Gaimans / Dave McKeans comic work, and loved "Coraline" by Neil.. this is a young kids books, but the illustrations are awesome! And its a signed copy so thats exciting!
Finally, "Don't Panic" , Douglas Adams and the Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy by Neil Gaiman.. Its a kind of biography, which has been updated earlier this year, so looking forward to reading that!!
I'm such a lucky girl (read spoiled brat!!) he also got me tickets to the two parts of the stage play of His Dark Materials.. Looking forward to that SO much!!
