Hey yall...
I just finished "Love" by Toni Morrison, and I thought it was just amazing!!! I've been a fan of hers for years, since I read "Beloved" in high school. Love is a complex and fascinating story, and it's gorgeously written. It's much shorter than many of her other novels, but the characters are still so palatable..... I could go on forever, but I'm going to go read it again!
I'd love to hear your opinion if you've read it!

I really enjoyed the parts of "Beloved" I read in "Nortons Anthology of Postmodern Fiction" but after getting a copy, it was so heart wrenching, I think I only got about a third of the way in and had to stop. i cried...it was so touching but disturbing. the same thing happened with "The color purple"
toni morrison writes beautifully though, and i have lots of respect for her as well, from what i've heard all of her books are great. but i might be too sensitive to the topics she writes about
take care
