I've found children's literature to be most soothing during this latest bout with dissociation and therapy. Looking forward to an adult discussion of Frisby and NIMH. I think I last read this book in fourth grade or so.
If I don't participate in the discussions at least I'm making the attempt to read and that in and of itself chalks up in the plus column in my life.
A dear friend even got the book from the library for me since she is a library junkie. I'm starting tonight before bed.
Ah the possibilities....

You found a new therapist? Cool... Did you decide to go with any particular type? Are you feeling any better?
I know, I know... this isn't books.

I read it in one, four hour sitting... It really is quite a soothing book... I *really* do like kids books... they're so much easier and more positive as a rule when you're in bad head space...
I'll be so interested to see what people have to say about it...

Anyone else find they have to read the last paragraph before starting.

When does the discussion start? Kiddie books I can get done! Of course, I have to read "Empire Falls" first--for my bricks and mortar reading group (hmm...I wonder how those folks would feel about being referred to as "bricks and mortar"? For some of them, it is rather apt a description, dare I say....I guess it's better than B&M?)
I also have another book to read first for continuing ed credits. Now if I can only get off the internet and start reading.
Seriously, when does NIMH discussion start?

FYI, there's a new feature here now, double double quotes:

About which feedback is welcome at:

Aha. So, I would write "Empire Falls" and this would create the link?

Wow--it's magic. I wrote the double quotes and it came out as a link. That is cool.
