You can look through the suggestions above and post the title of your nomination in the subject line, since that's Dr. Bob's official method. (Or I suppose that you can even check out the archives.)

I didn't mean to imply that that *had* to be the process... But maybe it does make sense to come up with something consistent. I hereby propose:
1. Give people a few more days to vote for the next book, say until midnight the night of September 17.
2. Then give people a month to read it, and start discussing it on October 17.
3. Meanwhile, the book to follow the next book can be discussed. In whatever threads people like, but maybe there should be one "official" one for nominations and votes, say, in this case:
http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/books/20020616/msgs/659.html
Since discussion about the next book might influence what people think should follow it, keep that vote open another week, which would be until midnight the night of October 24.
4. Then go back to step 2.
So that would be a 5-week cycle, how does that sound?
----
FYI, these are the books that I think have been nominated recently.

If I understood the procedure, I should vote today for the October 17 discussion.
Later, we will vote on the next month's choice.
(Sorry, it's Fri. and a tough week and the brain has been smushed to mush :>((!!!).
