Hi,
Some want to read fiction, others want to read more clinical books, some want to read memoirs, some want short stories....
So what about choosing three titles and we can all decide which one we'll read? So there will be a few discussions going on the board....

Sarah,
You do have a point. It seems that we have a lot of people who only want to read psychology books or who only want to read anything else. It kind of makes sense to want to divide it up.
My own worry is that if we do that now, while so few people are involved, we will end up not having enough people involved in any one book to sustain a discussion. If only 3 or 4 people are discussing a given book with you then when you come to this board the odds will be good that no one has posted anything new. So then you don't post anything yourself and maybe you check less often and soon the board dies.
Just for reference I looked at the posts so far. We've had 24 different people posting but only 13 have been involved enough to give opinions on specific books. A few more have opinions on types of books. It may be that many more people will jump in as soon as a book is chosen but I think it's just as likely that people will drop out.

I must agree with jane here. Perhaps we could trade off on the types? I like psychological thrillers-suspense, but not freaky..others like self-help, etc., I'm willing to compromise on what's read...
How about we set a time frame, etc?
Time limit to suggest books-say..by Friday we decide on the book?
Then we need to know how fast, etc., people read. I'm nott the norm (I don't think), but I can finish a 450 pg paperback in one day...
1 week? 2?
Any thoughts?

Yes. I think we should decide by Friday. Maybe ten days to read book?
