I'm enjoying the book so far - on chapter 4 - but as I read each page I am so overcome by the sadness of it all. John K. Toole killing himself so young...this is probably for psycho-social, but it just gets me.

me too. I kinda wish I had not read the preface...just jumped into the story and not read or saved the preface for later...
