Autobiography of a One-Year-Old is the cutest book. I was looking for something for my sister who is having a baby, and i came across this. Sections of the book include nursery crimes, sandbox ettiquette, and the shame of having your diaper changed in front of a crowd of people. Its a fast read and you will laugh all the way through it.

Thanks, LiLi, and welcome :)
This one is new to me, though I loved "The Little Book of Stress", the only book I have read by the same author, Rohan Candappa. He also wrote a sequel, "Stress for Success", and "The Little Book of Wrong Shui".

Congratulations to your sister, and to you - I know you'll enjoy being an aunt. My wife and I have no kids of our own, but our ten-year-old niece is *so* adorable :)
Candappa's "Little Book of the Kama Sutra" has just been published here in the UK: it sounds to me like the perfect gift for a couple for whom you'd like to buy "Autobiography of a One-Year-Old", only (like us) they're not expecting their first baby yet.

http://www.epinions.com/content_41123548804We depressives need little books like these for those dark days when this board's Book of the Month is too daunting for our reading age, diminished by illness and meds, or just for a therapeutic giggle at any time.
BTW, did you know that your `mental age' is your score in IQ tests divided by 7, allegedly?
:) Jonathan (IQ of 7 when depressed - just right for "Autobiography of a One-Year-Old").

Jonathan, I thank you for your reply to LiLi. I've got some light reading to catch up on. Candappa's one on Wrong Shui sounds so good & another (not the same author) called Little Book of Complete Bollocks sounds like my style. Sardonic & cynical but oh, so cheerful!
I think light reading is as valuble as heavier tomes. Exercises our diaphragm with all that laughing & rests & rejuvenates the brain.
This is the end of the thread.
