"Girl Interrupted" is an excellent book. For those who saw the movie and have never read the book, believe me, the book is MUCH better.

I was told this, so went and bought the book and hated it!!! loved the film, but found the book really.. I can't think of the word, but just really didn't like it!!!

ST--i read that over Xmas vacay! wonderful...we obviously have similar tastes...i especially loved the front pic w/ Dave and his dogs that read underneath something ling "Dave lives with his brother. They have no pets."

I read this about a year ago... and re read it recently.. One of the best books I have ever read.. I adored it utterly!!!

I agree. It just seemed flip and too too cool. I wonder if the author really spent time in the bin, or perhaps doesn't remember anything about her sojourn. Hated it.
