i trimmed down my (admittedly, ridiculous) supplement line up. I'm down to 20 grams time release C, 3-6 grams niacinamide, 2 b-100 tablets (time release), and 1200 IU natural form vitamin E. so far, so good. Honestly, I think going up to 20 grams with the vitamin C has made all the difference. I was able to drop a number of other antioxidants (green tea extract, grape seed extract, soy isoflavones) without losing any benefits. and now...
im thinking about taking taurine again. there's a small study in which 4 grams were used alongside an 'atypical' in people w/ psychosis, to good effect.
i took taurine back in the day, but...honestly, i was state mental hospital material back then, so its all kind of a blur. maybe a tad bit sedating? other than that, i don't remember much.
do any of you take taurine? if so, how much? for all this talk of "bipolar I," I seem to mostly deal with -severe- episodes of depression, then I have what might be hypomania, coupled with anxiety. the psychotic component...i dunno. I don't know if the problem is psychosis, at the core, or more mood, at the core. the 'experts' have different opinions, too. :-(
but...yeah...taurine. any advice, suggestions? thanks. :-)

i take 2 grams in the morning. No strong effects.. maybe a tad soothing. Not sure if its worth the money. If you do try, keep us posted.
