Lamdage,
SAM-e has demonstrated some efficacy in the treatment of depression, but if a person is suicidal, I would highly recommend seeking professional assistance. While some alternative treatments might be helpful at alleviating depressive symptoms, including suicidal thinking, I'm not in a position to make recommendations for such treatments for somebody who's suicidal. What I'd recommend is contacting a mental health professional for further assistance. Suicide hotlines may also be able to provide helpful assistance for individuals who are suicidal. Finally, calling a local emergency number is something that I think would be advisable if immediate assistance is required for a situation involving somebody who's suicidal.

Lamdage, you don't seem like somebody with schizophrenia to me. I've talked to many schizophrenics on this board.
Like I said, I took parnate and it made me psychotic. This was not permanent psychosis. Do you consider the idea that you don't really need antipsychotics?

I'm in agreement with linkage. AAP's made me much worse, and the side effects themselves began to look like symptoms that needed treatment. My deepest depression was caused by saphris.
