Do estrogen supplements make anyone feel worse? My doc prescribed birth control pills bc of the estrogen since I am in perimenopause and depressed. Everyone said it would help my mood but I felt horribly anxious and had to discontinue after 3 days. Has this happened to anyone else?

Progesterone, which has to accompany estrogen, made very depressed. I took hormones for like 6 months and had to stop because of my mood.

thank you. it helps to know i'm not the only one. incidentally another doctor put me on progesterone alone once and i had to stop that - my mood worsened considerably.
