I have very low thyroid but been stable for years with synthroid and cytomel, I read that I shouldn't take acytle l carnitine having low thyroid, what should I do?

Don't know what alcar is? Another with thyroid. My theory holds that more prevelent with those with psych problems mine started with low thyroid also. Phillipa

philipa, that would be so kind if you would, I'd like to hear someone elses opinion. So far I have ignored the warning about taking ALCAR with hypothyroid. I'm doing so well right now so I'd like to continue with my recipe of vitimins. The RET therapy is helping with some of my anxiety, enough that I stated managing my life again. I still pace ringing my hands at times but 2 days in a row I worked 6-8 hours each day. I've been able to focus on solving things with out panic. It just amazing
philipa how are you doing, is your anxiety under control?
